A day that had a minimal chance for a more widespread tornado event started out the same as the day before. There was a nice near Low Precipitation Supercell but it would not take too long and it would turn into a High Precipitation beast! While there was a lot of lightning to be seen, beautiful thunder to hear, rain wrapped tornadoes reported, and large to very large hail (one even reading out at 5.9 inches from a research team) affecting a pretty widespread range of locations, the biggest rewards of the chase day would come after dinner. A beautiful rainbow and sunset that would more than bedazzle the eyes. Due to the lack of more footage, there is no episode for this chase. Many thanks to Fox 7 Austin for hosting our content on their site! (All images and video referenced here were shot using the iPhone 11.) Click me to view this free article.

What was going to be an initial target of Seminole, Texas turned into being in Anson, Texas for the storms that I believed were going to be in that region. Turned out that this was the wrong decision but then, it would pay off but in a different area. I saw the storm developing over Tye and finally took a chance and raced to get south of it. The reward was well worth it. At the time of this posting, making an episode for this season of the show was still being considered. Thank you for the feature KTAB and KRBC!
